Cheryl combines an innovative thinking style with research rigour when developing solutions to education and training projects. She has a sharp eye for detail and is quickly able to see the key problems to be solved when tackling a brief. I know I can rely on Cheryl’s clear thinking which she then translates to project deliverables and outcomes, delivering these with commitment and enthusiasm. She has developed and delivered high-quality training and development materials, coaching and mentoring for staff as part of the HEFCE project I am managing on critical thinking. She has provided excellent contributions to dissemination and research for this in the wider sector. Her ability to deliver projects by bringing people with her, backed by research knowledge and rigour makes her an ideal partner for a wide range of educational and training projects.

Cheryl is the kind of person that gets things done and makes things happen. She exercises leadership skilfully and is collegial, so was therefore a natural choice as a member of my project team. Cheryl has imaginative ideas and promotes a learner centred focus which has resulted in favourable outcomes and achievement. I am inspired by her level of knowledge, enthusiasm and drive. She is an excellent publicist and has been keen to promote the project, writing articles and delivering presentations which has generated awareness and external interest in our approach to enhancing student learning and development. The project has certainly benefited from Cheryl’s visionary insight and capacity to analyse a situation, lead a course of action and evaluate outcomes. I would recommend others draw on Cheryl’s expertise to effectively set up or successfully progress an education or training initiative.
